Deeper in God, Series 1075 – With God there is always more. We can deepen our relationship with God, self and others. Even though we may be in the depths of despair or habitual sin, we can experience a lifting up. When it comes to achieving our dreams and reach out to others, we can expand and increase. This series will help you to go deeper as you follow Jesus and live “in Christ”.
In this series:
1) Lord of the Storm: Storms are part and parcel of being human. But whatever form they take, trials are always opportunities for us to exercise and express our faith in Jesus. When storms come, show God what you have within you!
2) Get a New Perspective: The eye is the lamp of our body. This episode will help you to see as God sees. It is important to see the wider picture. Judge softly. See God, yourself, and people in a whole new light.
3) The New Evangelization: The core message of Christianity will never change. We are loved, saved and forgiven in Jesus. The way we express the message must be more engaging: Methods, expressions and ardor/passion!
4) Name above all names: The name of Jesus has great meaning. His name means savior and healer. As Christians we don’t simply follow Jesus, we live “in” Christ. We are new creations and one with God in Jesus.
5) Jesus the great “I Am: When Jesus spoke “I Am” this was the highest claim to divinity in the whole of the Gospels. When followed by descriptive predicates such as the Good Shepherd or Resurrection, this tells us who he is.
6) Don’t let your heart be troubled: Jesus spoke this twice at the Last Supper. This saying of Jesus is a “now” word for us to hold onto. As we claim this powerful saying, we will be freed from worry and distress and live in peace.
7) Deep Discipleship: Fr. Cedric is a Passionist religious with professed vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. His first, special vow is to remember and proclaim the meaning of the passion. These vows are for all to follow Jesus.
8) Prepare to meet your God: Live as we live it day to day has meaning and is going somewhere. We are all destined to stand before God and be judged. Fr. Cedric prepares us for this awesome/ominous event by giving us strategies.
